I was hoping to give them an extra half a star (but you can see by my thoughts to follow that they fell short) and I would recommend this place to people stuck OTP and who do not want to drive all the way down to Buckhead. Started the night at the bar and had a couple of drinks. My date ordered a Dragonberry rum drink that was too sweet. My martini was good if not a little under filled. If you are going to charge the price, then fill the martini glass($11 for a Grey Goose martini). I cajoled the bartender into making a real rum and coke for my date and it came well made and not too heavy on the coke. The banter with the bartender was fun, the atmosphere festive and the lighting dimmed.

We were seated quickly when the other couple joined us. The table shared the calamari appetizer and I liked how it was served as a sweet and sour dressing over it all, then having to awkwardly dip the calamari when sharing it. We shared two of the appetizer rolls and the fish was fresh, however, I have one minor complaint. They were rolled so tight that the rice was mashed down and it even felt chilled (I had a suspicion they may been pre-made), but the trick with a great roll is to have the rice maintain its character and compliment the ingredients. The rice in a sushi roll is not like a burrito wrap simply to deliver the contents. It is a subtle difference, then can really be the difference between great and good rolls.

The knock out part of the meal was the sashmi entree. It was definitely the largest portion I was ever served with the sashimi and the fish was fresh and the taste was solid. A very good value for the money.

The waiter was a good sport and needed a little prodding on recommendations. However, once he got the picture that we wanted his opinion, he give it with gusto. He recommended the two rolls for the appetizers and they were satisfying. I would recommend it for a solid experience and a fair value for the price, selection and serve.

I would not hesitate to return or meet a friend for nice cocktail after work. Enjoy!!!

My husband and I chose to have our wedding at AquaBlue. The service was great and they were very responsive to our needs. The price quoted to us was within our budget and we paid exactly what was on the quote. If you have ever tried to book a venue for an event, you probably know how difficult it is to just get a bottom line! It was no problem there.

We have been back for special occasions a few times. I love the Ahi Poke appetizer and any of the fish dishes. The service is always good and the prices and portions are fair for the type of restaurant. I love the lighting, setup, and decor. A great place for a date!
