Why are 10 stars not an option?

The last time my husband and I went here we had one experience. We went again this evening and had an entirely different experience -- and it was STILL amazing!!!

Thursday nights they have a live band that plays a mix of oldies and contemporary, jazz and rock... and they are REALLY GOOD!

I finally got to try some of this allegedly "wonderful" cornbread, and I must admit... this moist, crumbly, muffin was so mouth-wateringly delicious... I could have eaten nothing but baskets full of it all night long. But I resisted. Somehow. I think I blacked out.

I got the Ginger Salad -- which is very much unlike the normal ginger salad you'd get at a less sushi place. Don't get me wrong -- I love plain ole' iceburg lettuce with ginger dressing heaped over it. However... this salad was like a piece of artwork. Field greens with a light drizzling of dressing -just enough to add a bit of flavor- and julienne carrots to add flair. My, oh my.

And finally, the Crème Brûlée... you could tell that it was freshly torched. It wasn't made yesterday or this morning and then kept in the fridge all day. It was made today, and sugar-torched on the top when I ordered it. You know how I can tell? Because the bottom was cool, the just under the crust was a bit less cool and the top crust was still warm. That makes me feel very special. Also, it makes me feel like I'm filled with delicious food.

I babysat a four-month-old-infant for 9 straight hours to pay for this meal for myself, my husband, and my BFF. I spent every penny; and it was 100% worth it. And I'd do it again!
